11. Volcano Lascar

The Andes include one of the largest volcano belts on earth, with a number of active volcanos in northern Chile. The most active of these is Lascar, not far from San Pedro de Atacama. Its most recent major eruption was in 1993, and regular activity has continued since then through to 2015. Its shape makes it easily identifiable, and it is visible from most of the area around San Pedro de Atacama.
