56. Itsukushima Shrine Miyajima
| The Itsukushima Shrine was first built in the 6th century, and remodelled into the present structure in 1168. It attracts thousands of visitors daily - even in the dreadful weather that greeted us. We can see what is so attractive about it, but would find it much more enjoyable without this weather. |
