52. A panoramic view of Florence
| After a short drive from San Gimignano we arrive in Florence, where Piazzale Michelangelo provides a superb panorama of the city. There is no mistaking the famous Duomo (cathedral) with its red dome. Also clear is the Ponte Vecchio, the medieval bridge toward the left of the photo. Our hotel was perhaps 100 metres from the bridge. |
