13. The Meeting of Pope Leo and Atilla, by Raphael
Eventually we come to the four "Raphael Rooms". In one of them is Raphael's depiction of the Meeting between Pope Leo and Atilla the Hun. The meeting was to discuss Atilla's plan to attack Rome, and it seems that the Pope managed to dissuade him. St. Peter and St. Paul can be seen hovering overhead as angels, with swords at the ready.
