14. Place el Hadim, Meknes
| This grand square at the entrance to the Meknes medina was absolutely bustling a few minutes before this photo was taken. Then a horse harnessed to a carriage (a calash, as they call it) took fright and panicked. It ran driverless through the square and then further away. Some people were injured and taken away, and the remainder of the afternoon in the square was very quiet. |
