11. Approaching Taktshang - the Tiger's Nest monastery
| Taktshang is not far from Paro. The monastery is 900 m. above the valley floor and is built on the site where Guru Rinpoche arrived in Bhutan flying on the back of a tigress in 747 AD. He introduced Buddhism into Bhutan. |
