14. Garudas at Wat Pra Kaeo

This long gallery of Garudas is outside the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaeo). The Garuda, the symbol of Thai monarchy, is a mythical bird from Thai mythology which is, as here, often pictured in battle against the Naga, a serpent like figure representing the underworld.
