Peru - Cusco and Machu Picchu, 2005


The photos in this gallery were taken during our trip to Peru to visit Cuzco and Machu Picchu in 2005.

Machu Picchu is a well known travel destination and is simply awesome.

However, Cusco and the Sacred Valley, known as Urabamba, also swept us off our feet. The Sacred Valley stretches from Cusco to Aguas Calientas at the foot of the mountain which has Machu Picchu at its peak. The friendly local population, as well as the architecture and history of the area, really made the trip worthwhile.
