| In Xi'an, the ancient capital of China which once vied with Rome and Constantinople as the greatest city in the world, we took an evening stroll past the ancient Drum Tower. Built in 1380, it is positioned in the centre of the city and is impressively illuminated at night, making quite a sight as it stands high above the surrounding buildings. |
