Hippos in the Mara River, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
| We travelled to the Mara River, at the northern end of the Serengeti, where we were lucky enough to witness part of the migration of wildebeest. Hippos are well renowned for their inactivity, but while we were at the Mara River, we found some which were at least prepared to open their mouths and yawn! |
