Inside the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Egypt
| At Edfu, on the Nile, is the temple of the falcon god, Horus. It was built more than 2,500 years ago, supposedly on the site where Horus defeated the evil god Seth in a fierce battle. In this photo, an official at the temple rests for a moment in the light at the base of one of the columns. |
