Masked Dancer at the Paro Tsechu, Bhutan

In the tiny nation of Bhutan, in the Himalayas, most towns have a "tsechu", or festival, each year. The Paro tsechu is renowned for its masked dancers in traditional costume, performing morality plays. In his left hand this dancer holds a drum, which is beaten using the curved bar in his right hand as a large crowd watches the performance.
