Marine iguana on Espanola, Galapagos Islands

Another common inhabitant of the Galapagos islands is the marine iguana. They are strong swimmers and dive as deep as 10 metres to feed on seaweed. In the southern islands, such as Espanola, they are larger, with much more prominent red colouring than on the northern islands.
